You can copy a file to another album using the Copy link under the file on the Manage Albums page. You can also copy all the files of an album using the Copy All Files button at the top right of each album section. If you delete one of the copies of the file, the other copies will not be deleted.
Yes! Albums can contain images, videos, audio files, text files, or any other kind of file. After you're finished making an album, you can create a download link for your client associated with that album.
No, an account isn't required to download or purchase links.
Your client will see your model name, a link to your Project Maenad profile, information on how many downloads and/or how much time remains until the link expires, and a "Download" button.
You can preview your links before or after sending them to your client by clicking "Link" in the table on the Manage Links page. This will not affect the number of downloads that remain.
When you create a link, you'll select an album to associate with it. Your client will only be able to download the images and/or videos in that album.
It's been complicated, but as of August 2015, Streamate has said they'll allow Project Maenad links. When creating a link for Streamate, you can check the Hide Profile Links checkbox, which will prevent links to your profile appearing on the link page.
It sounds like your file is optimized for video editing, not playback.
Most ways of capturing videos will first create a large, uncompressed file for use in a video editor. The usual workflow is to edit one or more uncompressed clips into a movie using a video editing program, then export them as a final compressed movie file. This final compressed file will take up much less disk space, but still play at high quality. Your computer probably already has a video editor. Macs should have iMovie, and Windows computers usually have Windows Movie Maker. We recommend using a video editor to produce the final file you upload to Project Maenad. (Video editors can also be useful to add effects like titles, fade-ins/fade-outs, and for cutting the clip to the exact length you want.)
Albums have several statuses (Draft, Private, Public, and Public Sale). Only Public Sale albums will be offered for sale, because we don't want to presume to sell your albums without you explicitly approving that. You can set an album's status on the Manage Albums page.
If an album is set to Public Sale and it still has that message, examine it on the Manage Albums page to see what's wrong. There should be a notice there describing the problem - that it's below the minimum price ($5), that it's currency isn't USD*, or that you haven't uploaded your ID.
*We expect to enable other currencies in the future, but only support USD for now.
You'll earn 70% of whatever you choose to charge for your content.
Nope! We'll cover chargebacks and payment fraud.
Yes, you may accept payments however suits you best. We support the site through sales, so we do appreciate it if you try selling content through our site!
We pay out your earnings twice per month — on the 8th and the 23rd.
You'll need to meet the minimum payout in order to be paid for the current period ($50 for check or ACH, $100 for wire). If you don't meet the minimum payout, your earnings will be rolled forward to the next payment period.
ACH and mailed checks inside the USA are free. International wires and checks to Canada have a $3 fee.
You can edit your personal details, cam site links, and profile image under Account Details, but more sophisticated profile customization is planned. You'll be able to upload your own header image and include your own HTML and CSS.
Go to the Manage Links page, find the row for your link, and click Copy (in the Link column) and the address will be copied to your clipboard so you can send it to your customer. (This relies on Flash, so if you have Flash disabled or not installed, click View to go to the page your customer will see, and copy the link from your browser's address bar and send it to your customer.)
Sure! We made this site for camgirls, but anyone is welcome to use it if they find it useful. We have a few guys on the site, some non-camgirl adult performers, and at least one couple uses it to send images just to each other. (You must of course be 18 or older.)
If you find that your content from Project Maenad has leaked on the public internet, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org. Depending on how it was leaked, we might be able to trace it to the particular customer who downloaded it from us.
Project Maenad can also file a DMCA takedown request on your behalf. Unfortunately, not all hosting sites comply with DMCA requirements, but in the few times this has come up, we find that this works most of the time.
